Satellite broadband is a great technology for connecting homes and businesses where the telecoms infrastructure is poor as in rural areas or areas where fibre is too expensive to lay. Blukom also blends satellite broadband with fixed wireless infrastructure to deliver a hybrid of satellite/fixed wireless product where that best suits the market and customer expectations.

Continual evolution and development of our satellite broadband offerings mean that speed capabilities and data allowances are growing at a faster rate than many wired technologies such as ADSL.

Fast fixed wireless

Our fixed wireless broadband services use radio to deliver an ultra-fast broadband service to communities where population density and funding is optimal for this technology.

Using a mixture of licensed and unlicensed radio spectrum and various different technology platforms, Blukoms fixed wireless broadband product for new customers delivers ultra-fast broadband at 75+ Mbps with unlimited data allowances and very low latency.

The very high technical performance of our fixed wireless broadband means we use the technology to bid for Government grants and subsidies to offer “Next Generation Access” broadband speeds and we’ve been successful in winning several tenders in the UK and Europe to build new networks with Government support.

Blukom is at the forefront of developing new fixed wireless broadband solutions and is one of the first companies in Europe to deliver a blended fixed wireless/satellite blended broadband product to give the ultimate mixture coverage/financial return in exceptionally remote rural areas.
