New internet solution for those with a 12 volt system in the cabin

Brdy has developed a new 12 volt solution that provides stable and good internet connection via satellite and 5G. With this you get fast internet over 5G without quota restrictions and the influence of simultaneous use by neighbouring cabins.

Brdy is known for delivering broadband where others cannot.

This is a great solution for those of you who want stable internet in the cabin, and who are tired of internet access being limited by simultaneous use from the cabin neighbours.

– We have found a solution for customers who use a 12 volt solution in cabins and more. This is a kind of converter (inverter) that changes the current from 12 volts to 230 volts, explains Jonas Wille, Head of Logistics at Brdy.

– If you have a 12 volt solution for electricity and use either a 12 volt cigarette lighter outlet or a 12 volt plug that has a large and a small “pin”, then this is a great solution for you, he emphasizes.

A 12 volt plug is very similar to a normal socket, but still not quite the same. The solution we offer contains both a cigarette lighter outlet and a 12 volt plug to cover everyone’s needs, regardless of what kind of sockets they have.

Brdy’s package also includes a small WIFI router that uses very little power and connects to the same system. You get everything in the package including the router for NOK 990 including VAT.

No restrictions

– Our solution may be similar to other providers’ solutions, but it is still different, Wille points out.

With other providers, you can move the equipment around as long as you have coverage from a transmitter, but here with us there is no quota restriction and you do not have to deal with other users.

– Many people experience instability in the service when several people in the same area use the internet at the same time, he says.

– With our solution, you are locked to a fixed address, and we reserve space for you in the mast so that you are never overloaded, no matter how many people use the network in the same area, emphasises Wille.

– When the mast in the area is “full”, we stop sales in the area so that everyone gets what they were promised, concludes Wille.
